ford vs. ss

Hey so as many of you know ford rules.. and in my hometown elk grove california there are some chevy s.s. guys that think there sick so ofcourse i wana show them a lil ford. I have a 2002 f150 5.4 liter scab with afe stage 2 and a 75 mm throttle body with magnaflow.i just ordered a 5 in lift kit from rcd and i wana kno what i can do to my truck to show them whats up?? and ideas?? oh and dont particualry wana use nose or turbo/supercharger

Are you talking about the newer silverado SS? That was my last truck. 2003 SS.

short of forced induction you are going to have a hell of a time; especially in a big lifted truck. You would need aggressive regearing (5.13~), custom tuning, and probably efans and a pulley. When it is all said and done, you would still be only marginally faster *if* that.

In the long run you are better off going supercharged if you are serious about speed.

Get 4:10 or better gears for better acceleration, E-fans to free up about 20 extra ponies and a custom tune for higher octane fuel.
