Harley edition exhaust

is the exhaust on a Harley davidson edition different (as far as muffler and sound) than a regular 04+? Also, will an exhaust from an 07 HD screw fit on an 04 screw?

The answers to your questions are yes yes and yes! They are different, sound different, and am pretty sure with the right brackets it will fit no prob. It does sound good, but an aftermarket is best. My dad has had an 06 and now an 07.

well i'm really looking for an exhaust that just has a very quiet low rumble, something that has just a little extra than stock under acceleration, but no drone whatsoever at highway speeds.

Then I would suggest you go with Magnaflow. What you are asking is exactly what I have with my Magnaflow. Check out my gallery for pics of my exhaust.

Than get the Harley exhaust, it is exactly what you want I'm telling you! You can make it loud by driving around at a certain rpm, like keeping it at 2000 or around there, but anytime else, it's a bit more rumbly than stock. You won't be disappointed, trust me. If you are still uncertain, test drive a new one.

I'd say go with the stock Harley exhaust :thumb: for aftermarket, then Magnaflow is the way to go.
