How is this so?

How is my exhaust so quiet but yet I have true duals with no cats and as mufflers I have 2 glass packs. And the pipes are basically straight off the manifold all the was down to the rear tire the n on bends all the way to the drivers side and the other one bends a little and goes straight out the back. It is sorta loud if I get on it but at like idle its quiet, casual driving its quiet. Does anyone know why this is? I mean I have had this glass packs for about a year now so they are done burnt out and have gotten as loud as I think they will get. I don't know know why this is. Is it because it is true duals?

What engine do you have? Perhaps headers would help out. Also, what size are your pipes? If they are too big or too small you won't get the sound you want. But with your set up, which sounds extremmely loud, are you sure you're not jsut going deaf and thinking they are getting quiet? haha just kidding.

I have a 351W 5.8L. Not sure what size pipes they are but they look like 2-3inch pipes. I may have to get headers. The only thing is its hard to find stuff for my truck on the net. Do you know anywhere where I can put headers on it? Also how hard would it be to put headers on it?

I have found some BBK headers for a 87-96 f-150 351 shortys for $250. Is that a good buy? They are at Jegs. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=10605

Then I found some Pace Setter shortys for $215.
