40 series not loud enough

Whats up People? I just installed a 40 series flowmaster muffler on my F-150 5.4L and it wasn't as loud as I wanted it to be. I have duel pipes comming out the back. Is there anything I can do to make It louder. The propblem is I live in California...

hmm, what 40 series is it, the 2 chamber delta flows? & is in a si/do?

if its si/do, well 3" exit pipes & 3.5 - 4" exhaust tops might help, or better yet put a exhaust dump out tip on, will make it a bit louder too.

It is a standerd 40 series. No delta flow. Couldn't tell you if it is si/do what does that mean? Don't know much about that. Is a dump out turn downs out the back of the muffler? Thanks for your suggestions.

oh, well si/do is short term for single in-let/dual out-let

Either have it dumped right after muffler or run no muffler

The loudest you can probably get it is upgrade cat converters ( or clear them ) and run straight pipes

I would say just take the cats off but you have inspection in Cali. So do the next best thing and get high-flow cats

yeah it will a bit louder, tips guide it to hear the sound go behind the truck, exiting under it dumped you will hear it more and it will have like 3ft less piping to exit.

I had mine dumped at the axle and it sounds good. Nice and mellow. It's a Dynomax Bullet.
