Dual Rear Exit Through Bumper
Dual Rear Exit Through Bumper
I did some searching and couldn't seem to come up with anything. Have any of you ever seen a dual rear that exits through the bumper. Like with 2ea 4" holes cut into the bumper for the exhaust to exit. I'm thinking of doing this and was wondering if any of you could see any issues with this. My thoughts are it keeps the pipes up and out of the way, and it would look very sharp.
havent seen one, and im not under my truck right now to verify, but potential problems i can think of: trailer hitch and all that jazz in your way. and reverse sensors- you stick the exhausts thru the bumper, and you could probably kiss any use of those goodbye in cooler months as you would constantly get false beeps since there would be exhaust residue on the sensors...
but it would definitely look cool!

Saw it done once, as a home project... didnt look very good. It was on a chrome bumper, and the increased heat/chemicals made the chrome rust faster. The truck looked great except the half inch of rust around the exhaust (it is probably partly due to the fact that when you drill through chrome, you are removing the corrosion inhibiting properties of the chrome on the edge of the metal).
