Just Had My New Exhaust Installed and....

Hey all,

I just wanted to let you all know that I just had my new exhaust installed. That was the easy part! The hard part was deciding which to go with as I am a first time F-150 owner. My ride is a 2006 FX4 Screw. I can't tell you all how many threads I've read regarding which exhaust to go with! Anyway, I was certain that I was going to go with Flowmaster, but the more I read, I decided to go with Magnaflow instead. All I can say is.............

I absolutley love the sound. It has a really nice rumble sound to it. I find it plenty loud. with no drone in the cab at all. I had Robert's Custom Exhaust in Stafford, Va. install it. They custom bent all of the tubing on a mandrell for a 110% perfect fit! I also went with 100% stainless steel all the way around!!!!! Tips, hooks, pipes, etc!!! it looks killer! I hope to post some pics soon. All I can say is? If you are on the fence, go with Magnaflow. You want loud? Ok, go with Flowmaster, but in my opinion going with Magnaflow gives you the best of both worlds. Performance and sound in my opinion. He also set it up in a way that it has no raspyness or crackling/popping sound that some have mentioned. So? There you have it. That's my story. Pics to follow soon!

I'm very happy. I'm not knocking Flowmaster, but I'm very happy with the sound of the Magnaflow. Has a very similar tone to my brothers '06 GT Mustang. If I were still 18-21, I would've gone with the Flows, but being older with the wife and kids, Magnaflow was a wise decision Still not quiet by any means, just a nice deep sound.

Sweet! Does your exhaust turn heads when you take off?

Same story here...I was a flowmaster man all my life...after joining the forum and reading about catbacks, I decided to go with Magnaflow as well...I also feel the same about sound...it's just right for my taste...it's quiet when I want it to be quiet and it rumbles when I want it to rumble...Awesome systems...

Thumbs up

I just installed the MBRP exhaust and am very impressed with the fit and finish. The sound is great and the tip looks awsome.

SISO Magnaflow

All sounds good to me. Wondering if anyone has pics of SISO Mag exiting behind rear wheel?(new F150) MF website lacking in detail. I would think that if you made the part you could post more than a schematic. Like sound and various pics.
