Question Exhaust question

I just purchased a new exhaust(Borla SISO) for my 04 F-150. I had no problem taking the old exhuast off, but I ran into some trouble trying to fit the new front pipe into the pipe it should go. It just seems a little too big. Is this the wrong part or am I doing something wrong. I know you guys can answer almost every question so I come to you for help. I appreciate any responses.

anyone

The order says that the Borla pipe is 3" in diameter. What is the stock diameter that the first pipe has to slide into.

I that is you problem because I think that would be to big compared to the size of the stock pipe. I don't think there would be any other reason why they won't fit.

i went to the guy i refer everyone needing exhaust work to and asked him about Borla systems. he told me that out of all the systems he has installed on many types of vehicles, almost all of them have not fit right. it may just be a borla thing.

my dad has a si/do borla on his toyota and it sounds great. when i install true duals i am really wanting borla under the truck so im not bashing them in any way.
