on the 2002 5.4, there is a vacuum hose that comes off the main intake in front of the throttle body, goes around on the drivers side and the goes into the manifold BEHIND the throttle body. it has what looks to be an inline filter. it's also made out of the hard plastic.


guys i REALLY REALLY need to know what this hose is and what's its purpose

 

are you saying the hose comes off the plastic air box that goes to the throttle body? or the hose comes off the throttle body it self? let me know and i'll help anyway possible...

 

The plastic hose you are talking about goes tthe idle air control motor.
