I don't think that any exhaust will give you a noticeable change in HP unless the one you have is completely trashed. I had a jones muffler put on my truck not too expensive but it didn't do much and is just like the FM 40 series.

You didn't say what year/engine combo you have, but what research i have done, Magnaflow will give a decent gain in h.p. and torque. A single outlet will give slightly better gains, maybe 13-15 hp gain...

Ponycar10 is right, the key word is "noticable". The gains you get from an exhaust change is noticable on the dyno but not in the seat of your pants. It is simply a part of a larger quest for more hp. I hope you're considering in intake system, you'll need that to. Check into the Magnaflows, it's a nice system. Not too loud.

I just installed a Magnaflow 16612 Single In Single Out cat back exhaust system on my 2006 FX4 screw. You can tell by the sound there is an aftermarket exhaust there but it is not so loud to be obnoxious. I ordered mine from hotexhaust.com and used coupon code fordtruck8, it saved me about 70.00. I put the kit on myself in a little over an hour in my driveway. Everything fit perfect and looks awesome. Magnaflow uses all stainless steel 3 inch pipe going into a 4 inch polished tip. Hope this helps.

magnaflow is a great system. good power and moderate sound. the sound is too much for some people, for them id recommend JBA . . good price, great quality, good power gains. mines as quiet as stock when my foot's off the gas but when i cruise you can hear me pass by and when i floor it you definitely know whats up. youll barely hear it inside the cab

I am waiting on my Magnaflow 16616 to come in. My bro put one on his truck and it sounds awesome, but like everyone is saying, your not really gonna notice a difference.

I put a Banks Monster Exhaust on my truck and I think it sounds great. you don't notice it at idle but when you crack the throttle it sounds sweet with a nice deep rumble.

X2

I also just installed a Banks Monster Exhaust on my 2005 Scab w/5.5' bed. Highly recommended. Got mine from Performance Products and saved 15% by ordering a second item from the "Power Package."

Gibson or Borla. I have the Gibson 3" SI/SO & it's barely louder than stock, but it does in fact sound much better than stock. If I went back & did it all over again, I would go with Borla instead. Borla's sound like music on most every vehicle I've ever seen them on.

KC-10 FE out...
