dumb ?

i was on the magnaflow website and was reading the tech section. it says that their mufflers are a straight through design. does that mean its a single chamber, cause i have been reading on here and it sounds like the single chambers are louder mufflers. i see they have a 3 chamber muffler on there also, but im gettin an 11" muffler. any idea if its a single chamber? or if its considerably louder than say the 14" or 18". thanks for the help

If I'm not mistaken, the shorter muffler should be louder. The longer it gets, you'll get a milder, deeper throaty sound. Mags aren't not known to be real loud mufflers, but they have a nice tone. Mags are straight through designs, no baffles or diverters. Flowmasters have diverters in them that redirect the exhaust to make it much louder and still free flowing. I like my Flows on my truck and my 06 Stang GT gets them tomorrow.

Magnaflows are not considered to be a "chamber" style muffler. They are a straight through, kinda like old style glasspacks.
