My 39 dollar intake
the best way to post a pic is if you have the pic on your comp you can go to imageshack.com and upload it and it will give a link so that you can post it. and i want this other guy that seems to have so many oponions to put his pics where his mouth is. anyhow hope it helps.
As per the advice from Fordfriendly, (thanks) I emailed ebay seller in regards to the intake with K&N filter.

Seller's response:
"Sorry the inconvenient. But the item doesn't come with any instruction. Without any actual install experience, we are not being able to provide non professional advice for taking the risk might damage the item. Professional installationor advise is highly recommended. Thank you."
Dynasty
So I wonder how easy/difficult it is to install?

theres a backroad close to my house that i tested my truck out before and after. i started from the same spot and stopped accelerating in the same spot and the HAI was about 2mph slower to the same spot, 62mph(drop in) to 60mph(HAI). i'm sure the kit helps alittle (2-4hp) over stock but it seemed to slower than my drop in k&n. another thing look at the picture of the intake on ebay, they have the filter on the wrong end
i would post pictures but why would i lie about something like this, what benefits me or anybody to give false info. point is you get what you pay for, HAI(2-4hp) drop in k&n(2-4hp) me personally when back to the k&n just because i'm sure my engine would rather suck cold air from the fender rather than alot of hot air.
well i have a very hard time believing you simply because every dyno test i have ever read states a 4-5 hp increase just by removing the silencer (with a stock filter). and to add to it you could get this kit and buy a K+N filter to mount to the end of it. i am sorry but i find it hard to believe that a stock set up with just a k+n filter could make the same power when the air has to go through a 2 1/2 in opening. like i have said, an engine is nothing more than an air pump. more air in and out, more power.
how big is the HAI pipe...3in's maybe 3 1/2. sorry but an half inch bigger intake tube is not going to make that much more power, maybe like .45 hp or something on a 260hp motor.
you obviously don't know what your talking about..yeah sure more air in and out may make more power, but in this case the engine will be taking in more HOT air in. just like if you dyno'd your truck in 65 degree weather and 95 degree weather, its gonna make more power at the lower temp. and with this kit it sucks HOT air from in the engine compartment, rather than sucking cool air from the fender. now if you removed your headlight and battery so that the filter can get direct cool air through the opening, them maybe it might make more power. whatever i can't belive i'm arguing over this, i didn't notice any difference between the kit and my k&n, don't belive me i don't care.
like i have said, an engine is nothing more than an air pump. more air in and out, more power.
