exhaust newbie

New to exhaust and got some questions. Ive been reading alot about Magnaflow SIDO. I have 2004 f150 regular cab with 5.4. I just bought the Edge and am in college. I want an exhaust setup but not too much money. I was thinking about getting a Magnaflow muffler and then custom making the rest. I read that the Mandrel bent pipe is the best. My question is does the straight pipe running back have to be anything special? I know that when it bends to the rear exit behind the wheel that that should be Mandrel bent but does the straight pipe have to be stainless or can it be this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stain...spagenameZWDVW

I was then going to order the Mandrel bent exit for 40 bucks. Total about $180; which is half the regular price. Any suggestions or should I just hold out for 9 months and then get the goods?

So here is what i got so far. I ordered the Mag muffler for 65 bucks. Magnaflow XL 27inch long 6 inch round. 2.5 I/O. So now what size pipe do I need 2.5 or 3 inch. And I guess I clamp this on or weld these? Then I need the tips right? Again 2.5 or 3 inch and do these weld or clamp on as well? thanks. I am only doing one pipe.
