AEM Dryflow filter

Has anybody purchased just the Dryflow filter by itself instead of getting the Brute Force intake? I am contemplating buying one for my truck but it looks like they don't offer a custom fit one. I measured the filter and the element is 5 1/4" and diameter of opening is 4 1/4" The closest filter size they have listed was 5" element and 4" diamter. I plan on buying from Autoanything.com if I can just figure this out.

Do you still have your factory air box. If so, just buy a MAF adapter, either 3 or 4 inch is fine and buy the AEM filter you want just as long as its a 3 or 4 inch.

They are a bit limited on the larger sizes.

I need one with a 4-inch opening, 8-inches long.

But they only offer one that is 9-inches long (too long, won't fit) or 5-inches long (too short/restrictive).

I wish they offered them with an open/filtered end as well.

Why do I need the MAF adapter or what is it? I have the factory airbox. Shouldn't the filter just be a drop in? I know it won't be perfect but shouldn't it fit halfway decent?

Why? have you found an AEM stock Replacement Filter? If you did how much it cost?

Yes I did find a stock replacement filter from AEM. The only trouble is that it doesn't look like it's custom fit. You have to see if they have a filter that is very close to the size of your stock filter. I think it's a good deal because it's not that expensive plus you don't have to oil it.
