both .. if their the front ones that is.. front ones actually tell your comp if the air fuel mix is correct if it aint the comp corrects it for max power and max milage. too ricj and it will studder soo lean it will pre ignite. the rears just tell you if the cats are working. i would replace the fronts if u havent ever. i have a 2000 with 90k and replaced at 75k

Go to autozone, or advance auto and have them read the codes for free. (they have a device that plugs into your truck) Bring the codes back to this website and post them here. We'll help ya out. The code will be P####

There's no sense in replacing all your O2 sensors when that might not be the problem.

will a bad o2 sensor throw a code or is it something you have to determine otherwise if they need replaced??

also i was wondering what the purpose of an x-pipe is for?? thanks!

Yes, O2 sensor function is monitored at every startup, so if you have a bad one, it WILL throw a code. (causing the check engine light to come on)

I'm not sure about your X-pipe question, but I believe that it's a way to equalize the pressures between the 2 banks of your engine's exhaust system while still maintaining "true dual" exhaust. I think.....
