throttle body spacer

I was wondering if anyone knows if i will have a problem spacewise with a throttle body spacer and a K&N air intake. I already have the intake in and seems like it may be pretty tight, i have a 2000 f150 4.6 v8.

In case you didn't see my other post, do a search. And consider this..... What's the point of adding an inch of space between the throttle body and the intake tube? What could that possibly do? And if it did anything, wouldn't Ford think, "hmmm.... We could add 10 hp if we added about an inch of space to the TB......."?
