Need some opinions

I just got a 06 F150 STX 4.2L v6 and ive decided the first thing to upgrade will be the exhaust. Im looking for something thats loud enough to make it stop sounding like a golf cart on the interior. Ive been looking at flowmasters and they are pretty inexpensive and look easy to install so I might do that. But could someone explain the other options i have? This is my first truck and i dont really know much about them.

If you want pure sound with a little if any loss in power go flowmaster.
i have flowmaster 40 series with magnaflow 3" tips. its not much on idle, u know its there when u take off! highway cruisin about 70 has a nice lil rumble (im guessing thats the drone others complain about) but with the radio you can pretty much drown it out.
from what im aware of, if you want the most power you wanna go with the magnaflow setup. i believe they give the most power, but are noticably quieter than flowmaster.
hope that helps!

oh, i should also add, i plan on getting the roush offroad exhaust in the beginning of the year for performace reasons. it also has a nice sound to it, an some say it sounds better than flowmasters. (guys correct me if im wrong)
only reason im swapping my exhaust is i plan on putting in the roush intake an supercharger eventually...other than that im happy with the flowmaster exhaust.

yeah, i went down to the muffler shop and got a 40 series, chrome tip and instalation for 170 bucks even. Amazed by the sound and it has a noticable punch that it didnt have. I never knew a 4.2 could actually sound mean!
