True Dual Kits???

Any exhuast companies make a true dual kit??? They all seem to be SI/DO.......is this because of a backpressue reason?

Do you lose any HP from doing a true dual w/ an x or h pipe???? wouldnt it perform a little better???

No need for "true duals"...and that would include removing Cats which is unlawful for the first 8yrs/80K miles....and your truck will not run as efficiently.
A High-flow/high performance muffler replacing the stocker with dual tailpipes or larger single will get you what you need performance-wise.

the main problem is packaging and space limitations.yes you can have true duals made, but your fuel tank gets in the way on drivers side.you may notice A Little top end improvement but not much on these trucks

You didn't say anything about headers in your original post. Sure you can do the system from motor back for "True Duals"...but, as pointed out above...they both have to run down the passenger side. My advice? Just do muffler back and you'll be fine.

Why can't you have cats with true duals?

You could leave the stock cats and cut into the stock y-pipe and go back from there if you were so inclined.

I didn't say you couldn't....he just clarified from his original post/question wanting "true duals" to say he was talking about from motor-back with headers. That would involve removing the stock cats as any type of header will most likely not bolt up to the existing downpipes/cats.....It's against Federal Law to remove Catalytic Converters within the first 8 yrs/80K miles unless they are damaged. That's all I was saying.

Yeah...but it's a lot of extra $ for no more performance than a SI/DO muffler...

You'll have to get a shop fab-up true duals, and they can be done with cats.
That's what I've got.

Long-tube headers eliminate the pre-cats only.

But the bigger issue is, IMHO:
True duals on a basically stock engines aren't really needed. A SI/DO muffler would be fine with no performance penalty.

You only need true duals if you are running a blower/turbo, IMHO.

Just my two cents

That's an awesome exhaust setup! You wouldn't happen to have a sound clip?
