if you think about it, ANYTHING that you are going to put in your intake is going to clog the airway, no matter how much spinnage it says.

I personally think they’re “snake oil” but I know someone that uses one in a 2002 3.8 Mustang and swears by it, says he gets an extra 2 mpg

in certain applications, these things work, but only because of a design problem with the original intake tract that does not create the tumble effect the insert creates. not really meaning a design problem but maybe overlooked deficiency.'
The patent went through just ahead of my attempt to patent it

There's no way in hell something sitting out in front of the air meter or throttle body with a few little rifle grooves in it puts enough spin to the air to get it past the throttle body, getting divided into different runners in a plenum, through said runners of usually ~20 inch or so length with several bends, and past an intake valve that is opening and closing multiple times a second with any kind of extra airflow motion whatsoever. No way, no how, I don't care if you had an electric motor spinning a turbine out there.....

Complete snake oil ripoff, just like sh**fire plugs and all the rest....

About the Tornado Performance Booster, if anything it will restrict the airflow. It is probably just another cheaply made item to fall apart and gets sucked into your throttle body. I guess people are led to believe this product is going to give you some kind of supercharger like boost - but there is nothing to it, so it is not going to be able to create (generate) any kind of boost by a simple vacuum source alone. Just like a supercharger, you must have power in to get power out. The vacuum created by the engine's air intake system is not going to make the Tornado keep multiplying in rpm, which it must do, to inturn create any kind of boost (it must be under pressure - PSI). Plus it is so flimsy (thin sheet metal - if you can even call it that) that it would probably buckle once it starts to create a boost. As stupid as it may sound - technically you would get more power by simply blowing into the air intake system. Dont waste your money. Better off buying a K&N air filter &/or a cold air intake system if you must do something.

Another good topic would be on the fuel line magnets ("Fuel Boss" & "Fuel Master"). I would'nt waste your money on them either because: If it sound too good to be true - it probably is! I would like to see both of these on the Discovery Channel tv show Myth Busters.
