magnaflow cats NFG
OK, I'm a little upset with my Magnaflow highflow cats. I had them installed about 30000miles ago and for the second time(bank1 now bank2)one has crapped out. I notice a loss in power and they rattle like crazy. Magnaflows lifetime warranty is a joke. Last time I was told that they never warranty anybodies claim. They always say it's caused by your vehicle. So what are my options now? Should I run with no cats and MIL. How will this affect noise and torque as I trailer a lot. Different, more durable cats? Please help.

I have run no cats many times on many vehicles and never had a low end issue. Remember, pre 1974 cars were some of the biggest and baddest america ever produced, and not one had cats on it. As I stated in the engines forum, I had a crappy experience with magnaflow not wanting to warranty anything years ago and developed a bad opinion of them, not to mention I think their mufflers sound quite raspy. I do have a set of their cats on my navigator, but haven't had any problems (they were all that was available withing the 1 day period I had to get the exhaust done)
Catalytic Converters (especially high-quality ones like the Magnaflow/CarSound) don't just go bad. Something makes them go bad...unburned fuel in the exhaust system...coolant in the exhaust...etc.
Be sure the truck is tuned properly (plugs, wires, etc.) and you should not be having these problems.
