Can't go wrong with either. I had a Flowmaster then switched it for a Magnaflow. I like the sound of both. Flowmaster is more aggressive sound but it drones in the cab. I am happy with my Magnaflow.

Flowmaster

Ive had a flowmaster for about a year now and everyone tells me that it sounds very agressive and full open throttle. I had one of my friends drive it and i didnt even know how loud it actually was. From the inside you get a low dull grumble (quiet enough to be masked by the air conditioning on full blast) and an intense throaty roar outside the truck. but, if i crack my passenger side window it gets rather noisy on the freeway(my exhaust exits on the right) but i dont hear it as much on the passenger side. I replaced everything including catco converters flowmaster 40 series 3" tubing and new resonaters. and a little tip. If you choose to replace the cats go with bolt ons so u can take them off (but u didnt hear that from me) ive gotten calls from neighbors complaning when i come home late makes me feel good about my truck when that happens

I have the Flowmaster and notice little to zero drone in the cab. It really comes down to the sound that you want. Flowmaster sounds different then Magnaflow. Deep and loud is Flowmaster. Not as loud and a crackly more hot rod sound would be Magnaflow.

You will have drone in your cab if you go with flowmaster. That is if you get the original 40 series...anything else is a waste of money IMO.

Check this for a sound clip of my magnaflow setup... https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=245271

I put a Flowmaster SIDO cat-back kit on my truck about a year ago. Instead of the 40 series, I went with the Force 2 muffler. The sound has a civilized sound to it but it still sounds decidedly meaner than the botring stock exhaust. It souds a lot like my old '87 Mustang GT. Man I miss that car.:o Bottom line, it sounds tough, but not obnoxious. Sometimes I wish it were a little louder, but then all I have to do is plant my right foot and voila' PROBLEM SOLVED!!
BTW Haven't had any problems whatsoever with drone inside the cab.

I went with a MagnaFlow SIDO cat-back system on my truck. While I did cuss it out a few times during the install, I couldn't be happier with the sound and performance of the completed system!

The flowmaster doesn't drone in the cab any more or less than the magnaflow. The flowmaster has a truer, deeper sound while the magnaflow has a higher, more raspy tone. (especially under WOT this is noticable)

flowmasters on 05 supercrew

just got a 40 series flowmaster (sido) love it sounds awesome. and for all those idiots who say you cant hear it are deaf. highly recommend them for a deep agressive sound. i almost wasted a half tank of gas driving around town hammering on it.
