Louder exhaust than flowmaster 40 series?

I have a 98 f150 with the 4.6 V8 with a flowmaster 40 series muffler and 2.5 inch duals to 3x16in tips? what can i do to make it louder without completely redoing my exhaust? What brand of muffler is louder? Would just gettin bigger tips help it a lot?

Ditch the 4 cats and run none or just two high flows. Also, an IMCO extreme would probably be louder, and bigger tips would help also.

If you want something obnoxious go with the flowmaster delta flow race muffler. There 70 bucks a piece but the look is awesome and sound is ridiculous. One of my buddies has a 98 5.4l with the delta flow and it is very loud. The only problem with them is they crackle and pop alot when you let off the gas. If you want something fairly loud and cheap go with a dyno max bullit. i had one on a 4 cylinder ranger and it is just about as loud as my buddies 5.4l. You can purchase both mufflers through summit racing. Also, remember if you do take your cats off don't forget about the oxygen sensor(s) on the other side! Without them your staring at a check engine light!

A flowmaster 1 chamber will be head banging loud. Try it on for size, you won't be disappointed

I made a mistake in my first post. I don't have a 40 series muffler, i have a Force II. How much of a difference will a 40 series or an IMCO extreme make?

40 series is the muffler that started the performance exhaust revolution. You can't go wrong!

The 1 chamber flowmaster will be louder than straight pipes. Or you could do the redneck thing and add glasspacks
