maggie exhaust

Hey All, I want a Maggie si-do exhaust. The problem is that they do not make a kit the exits behind the rear wheels on both sides? This is beggining do really bug me... I am going to call Magnaflow to see if they are are planning to make a kit like the one I described. Anyone in the know out there from Magnaflow that has some words of encouragement...

Are there any other stainless systems that are recomended, that will exit behind both wheels?

if you want more power with a nice mellow sounding exhaust go to www.gibsonexhaust.com i installed a single swept side exhaust system on my 03 f 150 with the 4.6 engine and it woke the engine up. it definetly has more horsepower and torque and it has a nice agressive tone when you get on it. it doesn't have that annoying drone everyone has on their trucks. it's power range is from 1800-3000 rpms, perfect for low end power and towing. the system ran me about 300 bucks but it was definitley worth it. it was so easy i did in my own driveway. it took me all day but i tried to do it right. it looks, sounds, and performs better than any other aftermarket exhaust on the market.

I bought an 18" magnaflow aluminized muffler and two 3.5" x 12" Imco polished stainless slant cut tips. Then I had a muffler shop weld everything up with 2.25" Imco aluminized pipes exiting out behind the tires at an angle.

Edit: There's a couple more pics of the tips in my gallery. Click the link in my sig and have a look.

spoke to Magnaflow rep today. He said there is no demand for that style system. They have no future plans to design a system of my description? Sucks,...

You don't need a kit...unless you want to bolt it up yourself and don't want to fabricate tubing.

Just go to a muffler shop and tell them what you want.

Companies only make kits for things that they think will sell well.
The bulk of their sales are just mufflers to shops, who then fab-up whatever the customer wants.

The shop I went to (big shop in Lowell MA) wants over 100$ for the same kit we can buy online with free shipping for the cat back stainless kit. Then about 75$ to 100$ to install. So that over 700$. A little steep IMHO. That's why I am dissapointed I can't find one from Magnaflow. I am mechanically inclined, bolting a exhaust is easy... I can get Magnaflow with tips with aluminized pipes for 1/2 that price. But will last 2/3 years here in MA. Hmmnnn......... Thanks All,

OK, one last question on this exhaust. Are there any other companies that fab stainless si/do side swept behind the rear wheels out there? Thanks much...

Yikes...that's pricey.

I've got a dual setup with two small Magnaflow mufflers, all custom done at the shop. I was out the door for well under $500, including labor.
