Straight piped 5.4

Hey...has anyone out there put straight pipes on their 5.4L.....how loud is it in relation to a catback system.....is the back preasure a problem...would you recomend me doing this or not....Thanks

I just finished mine, I had the shop run straight "3" pipes all the way out the back. I is not as loud as I thought it would be. I did not notice any decrease in power from this modification. I love the sound it is really deep with the "3" pipes and "4" tips. My 01 Dodge with the 360 in it was much more louder with the "2.5" straight pipes.

It's cause the Dudge had 2 cats, where as your F-150 has 4 cats. And the 5.4 isn't a very loud motor anyways for some reason....Not sure why, but the 4.6 is louder.
