Buyer Beware - Performance Center.com

I've been dealing with a difficult/frustrating purchase from PerformanceCenter.com and I seem to be getting nowhere. Back in April I purchsed over $1200.00 worth of goods from them, one of the items I found out the day after the original purchase was back-ordered for several weeks. (a Borla Exhaust system) I promptly canceled that item from the order and obviously asked that the amount be immediately credited back to my card. It is now a month later and I'm still waiting for the credit to appear. I've decided to dispute the purchase with my credit card company since the mechant has been lying to me from the start of this ordeal. Fortunately, I have the return authorization credit receipt from PerformanceCenter.com and I have turned it over a copy to the credit card company, hopefully this matter will be quickly resolved. In the mean time, I cannot recommend anyone purchase goods from this company, particularly if you need to return something to them, you may never get your money back. In addition, the company stocks very little as, most of the items I received came directly from the individual manufacturers, I was told the comapny stocked all the parts I would be receiving, this is not a reputatable merchant, IMO.

also remember to report this to the better business bureau. this always seems to get results for me and at the same time lets others know about the companies reputation.

Thumbs down Don't Buy From PerformanceCenter.com

I was looking for shocks for an 02 F150 that was lowered. The shocks I was looking at on the PerformanceCenter.com showed they had some Edelbrock IAS Ones for a pretty good price. I order them, receive 1 shock 2 days later with no receipt. I thought maybe the others would show up the next day, they didnt. I call PerformanceCenter, they don't know why the other shocks did not show up, but he would check and call me back. No call back that day, I call the next day. Im told the Edelbrock shocks are no longer made. He suggest some Belltech Nitro2 shocks, the price sounded good so I purchase those. I receive 2 Belltech shocks a couple days later, call PerformanceCenter the next day, they didnt know why the other 2 Belltech shocks did not ship. I look at the address on the box and see the part was drop shipped from a local company, I call them, they tell me Belltech has those backed ordered for 3 weeks.
In the mean time I return the 1 Edelbrock shock, with an RMA number.

I call PerformanceCenter to tell them about the Beltech backorder, they tell me they would refund the difference of the 2 Beltech shocks. I have since called about the refund on the Edelbrock and Belltech Shocks, they tell me they will get on it right away, and they doesnt understand what the problem is.

Its now been 3 weeks, still no refund on the 4 Edelbrock or Beltech Shocks, & now I come to find out that the Belltech shocks I did get are the wrong ones

I would stay away from this place, there are much better places to deal with, this is not one of them.

I wish i would have seen this earlier! i ordered some headlight covers, and it takes a week and a half for them to tell me that their out of stock and that they would have to credit me (and this is after i personally called to find out if they were in stock) and i still haven't been credited back!
