Muffler Questions

I have a 2002 F150 SC 4x4 4.6L. I was thinking about getting the Edlebrock SDT muffler single in/dual outs. But I have a couple questions:

1. Will changing the stock muffler hurt anything (performance, MPG, etc.) ?

2. How big is the stock pipe running into the muffler(3in. or 2.5in.) ?

3. I plan on doing a programmer, cold air intake, and muffler w/stock cats...should I notice much performace gain from these?

Thanks for any help....Im going to try and search the site a little more but I have to work tonight and I want to go ahead and order this stuff.

Hurt anything....you may notice a slight loss in bottom end Torque.

Belive factory is 2 1/2 into the muffler just had mine replaced and it didn't look to be 3 inch I could be wrong though.

If you do all those mods you could see some slight up in performance nothing that is gonna just blow you socks off especially with a heavy **** truck and 4.6L it will improve some though.
