Thumbs down

I think it would be childish & stupid but to each their own... Not to mention most likely illegal and you will probably lose power.

Ive got true dual 2" straights on my 4.6 off of the stock cats (no mufflers) out the back with tips.

Sounds great, really loud, rumbly at idle, and sounds like hardcore glasspacks when you get on it.

i got straights with the cats still on and i y-pipe and i love the sound of it.and i didnt really notice any horse power lose. if i was u i would get straights but leave the cats on and youll love it. its also cheap and sounds ten times better than any muffler ive ever heared on a f-150.

Is it possible for someone to ask a question on this forum without getting an ******* response like yours?

If I was as much a jerk as you, I'd say that it's not any more childish than your AF1 intake or SI/SO exhaust, neither of which give any more power gains than straight pipes, yet cost considerably more.

I just cut my muffler off and left the cats (for now). I love the sound and didnt loose any power at all. Next I might go 3" true duals and see how I like that. KC-10 just has an attitude problem and has probably been told he is childish and stupid by his parents.....Dotn mind him

Straights are a little old rat roddish in sound, like a glasspack on a flathead, but wakes people out of their fart can stuper. They don't sound as organized or tuned as say JBA or Magnaflow, but are louder and cheap as hell to do. Go for it, no regrets and I believe no gain/loss in power.

Newflash, No Talent As$ Clown... If I read correctly, he asked what everyone's opinion was. I replied with my opinion, I was not insulting him, I simply replied with what MY OPINION on the matter was. If I'm not mistaken, EVERYONE is entitled to his/her opinion, not just your ignorant as$. If you don't like it, tough, I don't give a rat's behind. So go do the 100 yard dash in a 50 yard room... I'm sick of morons like you dictating what people can or cannot write on this board. Until I see a post that says "Only StngStr & NO ONE ELSE reply" then I will post anything I please... Bonehead...

ok and to finally answer the question straight pipes should be fine as long as you know someone that will pass your inspection because it is illegal. its also gonna be your cheapest way to get some sound to your truck

Do the world a favor, pull your bottom lip over your head & swallow... At least you have the satisfaction of knowing you can serve as a bad example to others...

While i dont have true straights, i do have true duals with an H-Pipe and two glasspacks dumped befor the rear axle. Sounds real mean from idle and gets really knarly at 3000rpm and up. I say go for it, you wont regret it. - johnny
