4.6L upgrade suggestions

I own a bone stock '02 150 with a 4.6L 5speed, 3.31. Very dissappointed with the lack of power this truck has. Not looking to stop light drag, but at least be able to cruise at 70 on the highway & stay there on the hills. I own a 3000lb camper & will be towing that starting next month once the season gets underway.
Would be interested in others input for upgrades that this truck could benefit from. Read quite a bit on the forum so far, but looking for more direct answers. Prefer to keep the noise level at a minmum unless I'm really on the go button.

TIA. -John

change the rear end gears to 3.55's,or 3.73's, this will bring your torque in quicker. just my 2 cents!!

I agree on the rear gearing. (Of course I was just in there last month replacing seals). Although I do enjoy my 18mpg. (I know, can't have both)

Don't know enough about The Edge to comment.

Am I to assume there is no bolt-on intake or exhaust thats worth the $$$ to make a significant difference?
I ask because I've looked at the FIPK from K&N ($200) & a Gibson cat back single outlet ($280). Don't really want to spend $500 & get nothing on the return except more noise.

If gearing & computer tuning is a better way to go, then so be it. TIA for any insight. -John
