If you don't mind me asking, what did that setup wind up costing you?

I hear of all these great ebay deals but I'm just not seeing them. I'm not planning on dropping $400-$500 4 feet of stainless tubing and muffler either.

I like the looks of the DO in front of the tire. Last two trucks I've had no mufflers and ran straight out the back. I'm getting too old for all that cab noise. I wish I could find someone locally with that setup to hear it in person. All I've found so far are 4.6L's with the SI/SO setup.

Stylin Concepts has it for $520. Is that a good price?

go to hottexhaust.com and use coupon code fordtruck8. The 16616 Magnaflow setup is going for somewhere around $430 with that coupon.

Thanks for the site, but $430 is still outrageous (to me). The same stainless muffler is $129 and the tips are $64 (for two) list on their site vs $528 for the set without the coupon. That makes that 4' of tubing and 15 minutes of welding $339!!!

LOL... Yep... I'm glad I left a lasting impression on you! Haha...

I knew that you were the same guy from GenEdge when I saw your name and truck in your driveway.. I thought, "Hhhmmm, I remember that driveway!"

Good stuff, man!

p.s.
Yeah, traded in the 02 Ranger Edge for the 06 Screw... I miss that truck but I needed more room (and a nice V8!)

And guys,

I bought my system through Performance Products for $441.00. After searching around for the best price on this Magnaflow (listed at $518), this was the best place to go at the time.

But, I also bought the K&N 77 Series intake with the system as a "package" which saved 15% or something like that.

Performance Products is a good company. They treat you well and keep you informed if an order is on back-order and ship immediately when they receive it.

I know the price is on the high side, however Magnaflow makes a quality product with excellent materials. I also went with the word of an excellent muffler shop mechanic (who knows his stuff) and he highly recommended Magnoflow over other products. Yes, he could have made somewhat of the same system with parts put together, however with labor and "Magnoflow" parts, it would have come to about the same.

Just FYI...

I just took a look at my truck, and I'm wondering if there is gonna be fitment issues with my running boards. I have the factory black platform running boards. From the pictures shown, i don't know if i'll have the clearance. Anybody with those running boards and those pipes....i'd appreciate any feedback.

PS- I have an 05 4x2 SuperCrew.
