Exclamation Need stainless steel extension

Well I was all set to get a Magnaflow SS 14" muffler (#11236) and a nice SS tip and I called a couple of muffler shops to see how much they would charge for install. It turns out that nobody will supply stainless steel pipe to make up for the gap created by removing the 18" OEM muffler, they only have aluminized pipe (WTF I live in Nebraska).

Anybody else ran into this problem??? Can I just buy a 4" section of 2.5" SS tubing from somewhere and give it to them or do I just need to keep calling more muffler shops? I really can't believe that nobody will fab something up with SS pipe for me.

I had a full stainless system put on my 2005 f150 and they bent all the tubing I needed. Are you sure the stock muffler is 18"...my 4.6 had one that was over 2ft long. I had my stainless done at Muffler Shop Plus in Knoxville, PA. their phone # is (814)-326-4426...If you measure up exactly how much pipe you need they would probably have a piece that they could sell you.
