Pic of Magnaflow 12" rolled tip (35204)?

I am thinking about pulling the trigger on this and the 11266 muffler (18" stainless 2.5" O/O). I don't want the tip to stick out too far, so a pic would be really helpful.

I can't figure out why anyone would buy a $500+ catback when they can go this way for similar performance, same sound, less than half the price

I am going with the 18" because I don't want ANY drone whatsoever and just a little grumble when I get on it. I am actually thinking about a 24" (it is closer to stock length), because I really want to keep it quiet in the cab unless I get on it. Any suggestions on this?

Thanks for any help or feedback.

Are you saying that a set of tips will give the same grumble as doing a catback w/ Magnaflow or Flowmaster?

No, I am saying the tip and the muffler together would seem to give a very similar sound and appearance. Total cost of the muffler and Tip are roughly $100, labor to weld in is around $60 - 70, compared to a $500 catback, I just don't see what I would get for spending the extra. I am not trying to be cheap, I have a full catback on my mustang, but in that case I needed the increased pipe size to get more HP. Thoughts?
