new exhaust help

i am thinking of getting an imco single chamber muffler. SI/DO and just dumping it. should i put it in the stock location and dump it before or after the axle. the reason i want dual out is incase i want to come out the back of the truck later.

As I recall the 97 f-150 had the exhaust exit in front of the rear wheel.

I seem to recall alot of people complain about how the exhaust would turn the right rear wheel black.

So my suggestion would be to have the exhaust exit somewhere behind the wheel.

I also prefer a side exit exhaust (personally) due to frequent drives pulling a trailer. Just my .02 cents.
