Exhaust question

I have a 2004 F150 Lariat with a 5.4L. I wanted to get some mufflers installed to get a meaner and louder sound. I went to two muffler shops. One of them quoted me a price of $340 for Magnaflow (dualled out behind). The other gave me a price of $350 for a Ravin muffler. I also wanted to intsall black chrome muffler tips. That's about another $100. Do these prices the muffler shops seem reasonable. I am new to this. Thanks for the info.

Those prices sound reasonable for an aluminized system, I paid about the same for mine.

Buy the mufflers you want and have a shop weld them on. Thats what I did and it cost me $140.00 for dual pipes and chrome tips.

I went with magna flow, high grade stainless form the cats back with 4 inch polished tips. The sound is perfect... parts and labor was $330.00 in western PA., the reason I said in PA is because the same set up near D.C. was $700.00... Check out the pics...
