New exhaust wanted
If I were to get my 2 rear cats cut off how much sound would that add and would that screw with warranty? Thanks, the just orginal 40 aint loud enough, I wanna do long tube headers,2 hi flo cats, x pipe and 3" pipe back no muffs, but that'd screw the warranty and cost 1200 bucks and get me noise ordinace tickets!
You only have 2 cats. The '04 year had 4 cats and the '05-'06 have only 2 cats. Yes, if you mess with the cats it will void your warranty. If you just want louder, go with Josiah's setup- single chamber Flowmaster.
oh, I thought 04-05 had 4 and 06 had 2, that's weird, I love the flowmaster orginal 40 but not loud enough not even had it 2 months, I want louder! how much would it cost me for single chamber? Could muffler shop just put the new muffler in same place as the one now?

should I try to stick with the orginal 40 for a little longer? seeing as I've only had it 2 months? Well would you?
If it were me, I would. First reason, you've got exhaust so spend your money elsewhere. Second reason, I had the original 40 on my old Ranger and it seemed to keep getting louder and louder over time obviously due to wear. Let it break in good and spend your money on some other mods. Then later down the road if you are still not satisfied or like me were starting to hate the DRONE, change exhausts.

The drone is really bad with a 1 chamber. I had one on my truck and couldn't hear my phone. The only reason to change your exhaust would be to gain your torque back, i.e. switch to a Magnaflow. As far as XCal2s, I highly reccomend the Bamachips. Great tuner.
You know, my exhaust got considerably louder after installing the XCal2. You should get the tuner first and see if it changes the exhaust tone enough to where you're satisfied. Also, hopefully get your liscence soon. Make sure you break in the Flowmaster to get the most sound out of it! When I had a Flowmaster I did a lot of WOT and freeway driving at higher RPM (OD off) and this deepended the sound and 'broke it in' much faster than normal driving.
