Magnaflow Catback and Intake Installed

I am very happy with the results. I got a slightly used (about 9K miles) Magnaflow Catback (part number 15609) and Intake on E-Bay and got around to installing them today.

Very happy with the results. Throttle response is much better and it seems quicker off of the line (Damn those 3.08 gears). Not to mention that it sounds great now!

This is the Intake that I got from the seller Racinghouse. It needed a few small mods to get it to fit right but overall I am very happy with it and I did not need to break the bank to get it.

Both mods together installed with shipping and everything cost me only $249.99 ($205.00 for catback and 44.99 for intake). Can't beat that deal!

Will do. It probably is not stainless mesh as it is painted black. I think if you are open to knowing that it will need smaller bolts for the MAF sensor and a few slight mods, it is well worth the $45 with shipping.

You either need to go and buy smaller nuts and bolts that attach the MAF to the bracket or you need to drill out the metal of the braket and make the holes in the MAF slightly larger.

on the auction it says it is stainless mesh but you never know since it doesnt say a name on the filter

this is from the auction
"You are bidding on a brand new set of
97-01 Ford F150 / Expedition V8 Air Intake System with Filter
-replaces your existing plastic/rubber pipe with our light-weight aluminum pipe, stops sucking hot air from high temperature engine compartment, add instant horsepower (10-15 hp)
- our filter is upgraded to conical cotton/stainless steel mesh filter
- All required hardware is included in the package for a easy bolt-on, no modification installation"
