Dual on my 99 5.4

So, I finally got my exhaust done today and it sounds great. I got my cats cut off and got a magnaflow high flow cat put on each side, then an x-pipe, run to two SI/SO Flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber mufflers, then straight out the back with tips. Sounds much deeper and throatier than my last set-up (just a flowmaster SI/DO 40 series 2 chamber on a 97 F150 5.4). Flowmaster is definately the way to go.

i used 2.5 inch---As for gains, I cannot accurately tell yet but from what I can tell from my foot and seat I feel that I have gained some quickness in acceleration and power

Flagstaff on the earlier setup did you have your cats on or were they removed? Also did you lose gas mileage by removing the cats on the one now. I have a 02 witht he 5.4 with the same setup you had before. I am not happy with the level of noise. I want it louder and if i can get louder by removing the cats i will do so.

there is a night and day difference between my old set-up and my new one. With my old set-up the cats had not been touched. With the new set-up I have one high-flow cat on each side and IMO it is less restrictive. As for gas, I don't believe that I have lost any milage from the exhaust. If you have any questions then you can reach me at ahg8@nau.edu.
