good deal. You put a magnaflow on yours now? what exactly do you have? How do you like it?

I had a flowmaster on my last truck. I liked it and got alot of compliments on the sound. After reading alot of threads on here it appears that the magnaflow actually can help performance vs the flowmaster.

I have the 5x18" si/do (3" in, 2.25" out) into 3" stainless rolled tips. There is a pic in my gallery. I like it a lot. It is quiet at cruising speeds but is deep and throaty when you want it to be. My only complaint is that I wish it were a little louder outside which I was told could be resolved with the 14" muffler instead of the 18". As far as performance, I saw a magazine article in a truck mag last year that said that not only was Magnaflow the only exhaust that didn't cause our trucks to lose low end, but it was also the only one to show gains.

No stock is 2.5.. you will lose low end torque getting the 3" inch inlet

Mine and most others are 2.5" because if it was 3" we wouldn't of lost low end torque getting a new muffler..

Yeah, I don't want to change the size of the inlet. Anyone else shed light on that.

For a big v8 2.5" seems a little small imo. I dont know though
