Removing Cats?

Will removing the front 2 pre-cats and replacing them with a piece of pipe mess with the O2 sesors right in front of them. I was guessing that since the sesors arn't located on the cat itself it shouldn't be a problem. Is this right?

First I don't know if where you live if it is illegal. Also, I believe the system relies on backpressure/temperature created by the entire exhaust system. I think that by removing the Cats you could change that temperature/pressure.(maybe a tuner could help balance it all out) I know there are some heavy fines if they are removed in some states. There may be some High flow Cat's available. Good luck

Where are your O2 sensors located? I have an 01 screw and the sensors are in the middle of the back 2 cats.

Removing cats is a mistake. Loss of low end torque - I had them removed for 2 months, and then put hi-flows on... What a difference. Go with high-flows.
