Product question

I dont know what the device is called so i couldn't search it. Is anyone familiar with a device that is welded after the cat, and it is controled with a cable form the dash to open a close it? Supposedly it helps with power a mpgs... would it be a better option than getting an aftermarket muffler?

i think you are talking about a cutout, and let me tell you they are loud, all it does is let the exuast out were ever you put it, i dont recoment it, 1 it is loud and ilegal, 2 you would lose all backpresure when it is open losing low end HP and TRQ, 3 it slows down exuast volocity even when it is closed, i wouldnt do it and in no way will it help MPG, good luck
