Getting custom exhaust...Question.

My Flowmaster 40 is toast after 5 years. Problably due to alot of stop and go driving. I'm going to get a si/so Magnaflow 4 x 9 oval muffler and route a single 2.50" pipe out in the stock location. My question is... If I use 2.50" exhaust pipe, what size inlet/outlet do I need on the muffler? And secondly, do the exhaust shops "flare" the ends of the pipe to make them bigger to fit on the muffler? I'm not sure how that works, but I'd be thankful for any good info you guys can throw my way. Thanks!

Peace...

the muffler inlet outlet will be the same size as your pipe size, the muffler is usally alittle bigger or smaller so it will just slide on, if not than the shop will expand it to fit, good luck
