Do you want picks of duals on something specific? I have duals on my 99 ext cab short box that I will gladly take pics of once I get it back from the shop (blew a stupid heater hose last night). Because Im guessin' no one on here has picks of an Econoline with duals

Let me know. It will probably be around wed/thurs time.

I got a set of true duals today on my 2004. Man were they expensive but it really is the right way to do things performance and sound wise, it will be a bit louder with true duals as opposed to a si/do. I'll take some pics, I had a very professional job done, I think you'll like it. I used a DI/DO flo-pro muffler as opposed to two seperate mufflers. You will get the same sound out of two 14 inch magnaflows that you will out of a DI/DO 14 inch magnaflow with an X pipe built into it. I recommend the DI/DO as not only are you saving on the price of one muffler over two, but you already have an X pipe in your system saving you the $80 or so to get one built at the shop, and it is very important to have a balance tube like an X or H (X is preferable) in a true dual setup. The only downside to a DI/DO is if you like it very loud, then you are better of with two much smaller mufflers like a flowmaster 1 chamber or magnapack, something along those lines. Anyways, any questions give me a shout. I'll get some pics and a sound clip in the morning. I'm already awaiting the day I get high flow cats to increase the sound a bit.

I had the Y cut off and one of the pipes beforehand was rotated and then welded up to an X pipe. From there twin pipes a di/do magnaflow muffler. I got the largest possible thinking it would still be loud. It's prolly as quiet as stock. I recomend the smaller SS muffler and matching the center diameters of the pipes to the center diameter of the X pipe. Yes, the muffler has a X pipe built in but it's the end of my exaust system, since I just added turn downs. Oh yeah, make shure you buy some mandrel bent pipes beforehand as well.

Got my pickup back yesterday but totally forgot. Anyway, that last picture of GoRacers shows it pretty much, except on mine there was no need to run the pipe upward a little to tuck it up to the truck better. Mine is an older style though, I see he has an 04.

Go Racer, what kind of X pipe is that, and how much space do you have between the two pipes right into and out of the X pipe.
I still dont have one on mine, and I cant find a narrow enough X pipe. There is only an inch between my pipes.

I'm not shure of teh spacing but I think it lists it if you look it up. I beleive there is only one X pipe and one H pipe from Magnaflow. The mandrel bent pipes and the muffler are also Magnaflow purchased from performance peddler. My muffler is the largest 24" I beleive and oversized for gas engine. There is a ss 18" that mtches up with the spacing of the X pipe and the muffler ...or was 14"? The other reason for the X pipe was too keep the pipes seperated and solid to prevent twisting, rubbing and rattling.

it's best to use a separate x pipe- as close to the manifolds as possible for best equalization and scavenging of the gases of the opposite cylinders-i'm sure mine will be expensive it will be in stainless-did you go 2.25 or 2.5- any bottom end losss? gains- appreciate pics and sound clip-phil

ok, here's mine. This isn't a high quality exhaust job, it's kind of a cheap hack job. It was only $150 for everything so it's not that high in quality, but it's loud!
