Cutting Stock Exhaust?

Cutting Stock Exhaust?

So im new on here obviously haha. i come from a background of drag hondas sooo im a noob to domestics and trucks. Anyways. my question was if i cut the exhaust off right after the stock muffler about 3 inches after the muffler stops, would it sound ok? like crap? anyone done this? let me know. im pretty much just lookin for it to be louder, im not talking like no muffler straight pipe loud, just louder then it is now.

I don't think that it would sound that much diff. If you are looking for a cheap but good sound, I would buy a flowmaster 40 series and put it in place of the stock muff. You would have to get a section of pipe to make the diff in length from stock to flowmaster muff. I did this to mine and is sounds better than stock. Only cast about $125. Did labor my self.
