'4 4.6 exhaust overhaul

Everybody has asked this ? several times, so let me be the 1 to repeat it. I have a 4.6L standard cab/short bed. I want true duals. I'm considering the Dynomax round 3" mufflers w/ a Heddman x-pipe & to exit just in front of the P-side rear wheel. Now the ?'s: Do the new body styles have 4 cats or 2? What is the stock diameter of pipe? I realize that the D-side pipe will be traveling further but hopefully the x-pipe will provide some "homeostasis". Thanks for any input ya'll have. If anyone has experience w/ Dynomax or knows of a cheaper dealer than Jeg's please give me a shout. Thanks again.

The stock pipe size is 2.5 inches. Dual 3 inch pipes will be much too big for the 4.6L. The maximum size pipe I would use for true duals would be 2.5 inches. The X-pipe will balance out your exhaust well.
