05 4.6 SCrew 4x4 Exhaust Quest...

I am looking at either a Magnaflow 18" or a Flowmaster Delta 50 for my 2005 4.6L 4x4 Screw... I am planning on dumping it at the axle. I am unsure with size in/out muffler I need though and the offsets if any... I looks like 3"/2.5" under my truck now, but not sure... The mufflers are about the same price, and I am going to hear each one first befor deciding. I know alot here like one or the other so... Thanks for any advice!!!

it is 2.5 inch both in and out. I would recomend dumping the 18" Magnaflow. I have a 2005 4.6L as well and have this setup on my truck, and it's the best combination of power increase and great sound I've heard. Prior to this setup I tried a 40 Series Flowmaster dumped. I lost low end and the sound was good, but not great. The Magnaflow is smoother and deeper.

Yeah I saw your setup and liked it, so I think I am going that route. Not too loud in the cab is it? Also, is center/center ok? Or do I need an offset? And 5x8 oval ok? Thanks for your help, man!

Yeah, 4x9 or 5x8 ovals are both OK. Since you are dumping it center/center is fine. The Magnaflow has a nice rumble with easy acceleration and is almost silent on the highway. Of course you will hear it more going up hills but it's not obnoxious at all. When you romp on it you'll hear it.
