'01 F150 4.6L - headers & exhaust

What are the best models of headers and exhaust systems for a throaty growl for my F150? The 4.6L isn't much of a dragster but i do like the throaty growl, better flow and i'll take any increase in HP/Torque too i can find in the headers/exhaust.

Thanks

JBA headers & Magnaflow exhaust . JBA headers will run you about $700, Magnaflow you can get for about $400-$500 depending on what and where you get. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I would suggest www.troyerperformance.com and just have a look around.

The headers will make it a little louder, but other than that won't really gain you all that much. I run stock manifolds on a blown 5.4 and it is mean as shiat! The flowmaster 40 series mufflers will give you the best sound available, bar none. How mean do you want it? The 40's will give you a little in cab drone, but it is easily drowned out with a little more radio volume. I have personally used BBK headers, and had no issues and was very satisfied with them. Just make dam sure if you change the headers, you dab a lil locktite on the new bolts, as they will back out. If you want pictures of my exhaust, I will be happy to email them to you.
