Exhaust System

Just did a search and nothing. What is the most common size muffler people get with the magnaflow exhaust system. I was going to be ordering one for my 05 screw FX4 with the short bed shortly and I was looking at the ordering for the cat-back system and didn't see if I could choose a muffler size. From what I have been reading alot of people have the 18" correct. What is everyone's thought on this?

Also I can't seem to find the thread of where the best and cheapest place to get the magnaflow exhaust from. I saw it somewhere for around $500

The cat back systems don't give you an option, at least within each brand. There is one cat back system per style for most truck layouts. Generally, you can select between a SISO (single in single out) rear passenger side exit. a SIDO (single in dual out) passenger side exit in front of the back tire, or a SIDO that exits out the back in traditional dual exhaust style.

If you want to choose noise levels, mostly you start brand shopping. Flowmasters cat back systems are generally louder than magnaflow.

Muffler length decisioins only come into play if you are planning to keep your factory exhaust and get just a performance muffler. Then you have some length options.

Troyer Performance has fairly good prices, some options below $500 including shipping.
