Glasspacks have a really crackly sound outside (my personal favorite exhaust note), and very little interior resonance or drone, the sound is reminiscent of 50's cruisers and the like. The Turbo mufflers (or at least the ones I've heard) will have a meaty, "old-school" muscle car burble outside, but will have more interior resonance or drone. Both are good, I happen to prefer glasspacks but that's really a very personal call.

Performancewise, I would say both are probably about the same on a truck.

both are easy, on my 96 i went from stock muffler to a turbo style muffler to a glasspack (both were dumped) and now i got 2 inch straight pipes out the back, the turbo just wasnt loud enough, and the glasspack didnt have enough pop when you let off the gas,
both of these mufflers were realitivly cheap so its not like i spent a fortune to find the sound i liked better
