Magnaflow just installed on my '01 5.4L SC...
and it's just the sound I wanted. I bought a Magnaflow #12256 (2.5 In-Out)(18 inch case) from Performance Peddler on eBay. It has the deep throaty sound I wanted without having that loud ragged out glasspack sound we are all familiar with. When you romp the pedal it sounds great, and at cruising speed its noticeable without the overbearing drone of a Flowmaster. I'm happy with my choice. Lance in Brenham, TX.

I think I'm going to do the same thing.
I'm going to remove the Gibson muffler and install a Magnaflow muffler in it's place.
I can get the Magnaflow for $87 on Ebay, and I'll do the work myself.
How loud is the Magnaflow inside the cab?

Louder than stock but not obnoxious. Much deeper tone!
