Cutting Off Exaust?
Cutting Off Exaust after Muffler
Hello all... GAWD I Love F150Online.com
Question...
I owned a 1998 5.4 F-150 Ext. Cab Lariat Flareside. with a toneau cover...
the truck had a flowmaster muffler. it was quite loud as I liked it.
now I have purchased a 1998 5.4 Expedition with a flowmaster muffler. it's not as loud.
the truck had the exaust. cut off right after the muffler... can I do this to the EXPY? is there going to be exaust fumes in the cabin, because i didn't have to worry about that with the truck seeing how no body rode in the bed of the truck.
I want to cut this exaust pipe off after the muffler to increase the resinance.
should I do it?
any opinions welcome...

I doubt that will do what you want it to. I bet you have a different series muffler that isn't as loud. Sounds like your best bet is to cut it off BEFORE the muffler. Then it will be as loud as your other truck.
