Replacing Headers...

Hey guys, this is my first post but I have tried to search the subject with no luck. I am replacing my stock headers for some JBA short tubes. I realize this is quite an undertaking but when I was sizing up the job I noticed that the stock headers are being held on with nuts that are attached to studs that come off the stock head... Is this true or are my eyes being deceived...? Someone with a 97 please help, I do not need any broked studs!

Your eyes are right. Before you start soak them down with wd-40 or something. Just try to ease them out

Wait until they are completely cool before trying to remove also. The metal expands when they are hot which makes them even harder to get out...sometimes they won't without breakin.
