x pipe Help!!!

i have a '01 with the 5.4 i put tru duals on it witout x-pipe or mufflers. If i put a di/do muffler would that be about the same as a x-pipe ? I would appriciate any info or comments.I would also l to know if anyone has or knows someone with a Texas Powerhouse edition F150 that would tell me what that is. I have one and don't know much about it.

Good question, I would say no. I got a x-pipe on mine with seperate IMCO 1 chamnber's. I kow it made a small difference in power but mostly in the sound

If you look on the flowmaster website in the accessories section, they sell H-pipe kits. One is like just a couple pieces of pipe, and the other is a molded pair that you can weld directly on. Check it out

In my opinion, if the di/do muffler shares a common chamber, then it should do a ok job of balancing the pressure on the 2 banks.
Maybe not as good as a actual X or H pipe, but better than having the 2 banks unbalanced.
I'm not sure how the di/do mufflers are constructed, so this is pure speculation. Just a thought.

Although I will add, I did mine without equalization. Some told me it would sound like dueling 4 bangers, but it didn't. It's as loud a V8 sound as you could ever want. But I still want to H it at some point, theres just not alot of room down there
